About the Owner
About the Owner
“Hi, I’m Amanda Slavnic, the owner of A|S Business & Tax Solutions. I was born in Hillsdale, Michigan and found my love for numbers and accounting when I was 15 years old. My first prepared tax return was under the supervision of my grandfather with a pencil and printed tax form. At the age of 16, I started my first part-time accounting job in the Hillsdale Tool Accounting Department.
Later on, I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I worked for Ford Credit before opening my tax firm as an Enrolled Agent. During this period, I met Dusko, my now-husband and gave birth to my son Damien. In 2012, I gave birth to my daughter Valencia, who was later diagnosed with a rare interstitial lung disease that required us to move to a lower elevation.
Fast forward to 2017, our family decided to move to Becker, MN, where I re-entered the workforce as a controller of a small- to medium-sized family-owned company. Then COVID-19 hit, and now here I am, ready to be of service to you!”
